Creating a blueprint for the UK and the rest of the world
To meet the UK’s ambitious goal of becoming net zero by 2050, we need to not only reduce the amount of carbon we produce already but also change the way in which we live, work, consume, travel, and create. The Humber provides a huge opportunity to contribute to the UK’s net zero ambitions: if we can decarbonise the UK's largest carbon emitting region, we can create a blueprint for the UK and the rest of the world.
To do this, we need to have vision. We need to embrace projects that reduce our carbon footprint and inspire change. We need projects that look to the future, using innovative solutions to solve problems that are pertinent to the region, while creating jobs, improving energy efficiency, and putting the Humber on the net-zero map.
