The Humber is home to a £6b chemicals cluster, specialising in the process industry, refining and pharmaceuticals and in the last 7 years we’ve invested £1.4bn. Multinational companies with sites in the Humber include BP Chemicals, Nippon Gohsei, Total, Phillps66, Smith and Nephew and Reckitt Benckiser.
The Humber LEP has secured £103.7m from the Government’s Local Growth Fund to support economic growth in the area until 2021 – with £21.2m of new funding already been committed for 2015/16.
